Following the announcement of a National State of Disaster by President Ramaphosa and
the ensuing lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19, there has been rising uncertainty and
higher than normal levels of credit spread volatility in South African credit markets.
In addition to the impact of the lockdown, markets now also have to deal with Moody’s
downgrading the South African sovereign credit rating to sub-investment grade.
This webinar will look to address some of the volatility and broader outlook in the
South African credit market
Speakers: Albert Botha, Head of Fixed Income Portfolio Management and Corneleo Davey,
Head of Credit Risk Management at Ashburton Investments
