At the recent COP26 climate summit, the governments of France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as the European Union, agreed to partner to mobilise U$8.5bn over the next three to five years to support South Africa’s just energy transition (JET) to a low-carbon, climate resilient future. Eskom SOC Holdings Ltd’s JET vision encompasses net zero carbon emission by 2050 with an increase in sustainable jobs.
